Thus, the armature is moved linearly (also called linear magnet) from the initial position to the stroke end position.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The movement that the armature performs when energized is also called stroke. For the return movement of the armature to the initial position, an external force such as a return spring is usually used.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, some lifting magnets can do without this if they have an integrated permanent magnet. However, the magnets are available in different designs and sizes in order to be used as individually as possible in industry. Here is a small overview:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Single stroke magnet<\/b><\/p>\n<p>If an electromagnet only acts in one direction, it is called a simple or single stroke magnet. An electromagnetic force causes a movement from the initial position to the end position, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/schienle.de\/en\/produkte\/single-stroke-solenoid-sla-080x-yyy\/\">model SLA 080x yyy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on the design, they can therefore be used with both a pushing and a pulling function.<\/p>\n<h4>Double stroke magnet<\/h4>\n<p>n a double stroke magnet (with zero position), such as our <a href=\"https:\/\/schienle.de\/en\/produkte\/double-stroke-solenoid-sla-062e-yyy-a\/\">SLA 062E yyy A<\/a>, the movement from the initial position is caused by electromagnetic forces, which move the armature to one of the two stroke end positions. The armature is then returned to its initial position by external forces.<\/p>\n<h4>Reversing stroke magnet<\/h4>\n<p>Reversing stroke magnets, such as our <a href=\"https:\/\/schienle.de\/en\/produkte\/reversal-stroke-solenoid-sla-062e-yyy-b\/\">SLA 062E yyy B<\/a>, move the armature between two coils, allowing both directions to be controlled.
